FAQ
How to book, what to expect, and how to get answers fast.
You can purchase directly on the Autumn’s Gate online market. Or you can tell Bit to book it for you. You can also text us at 716-791-5051 and our team will help.
Click Bit’s little chat icon in the bottom-right corner. Bit can comprehensively (and entertainingly) answer your questions about most things—and if anything needs a human confirmation, he can ask the team.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes early. Feel free to come even earlier to see the animals, get settled, and start your visit calm instead of rushed.
Long pants, closed-toe shoes/boots, and layers for the weather. Gloves in winter are a win. A boot with a heel is preferred—it helps keep your foot secure in the stirrup. Skip loose scarves or dangly accessories while mounted.
Riding typically starts at age 4+. Riders must be potty trained, and readiness really depends on the child—you’ll know best. If you’re unsure, chat with Bit and he can help you think it through (and check with the team if needed). If they’re already a rider or camper… come on down. 😉
For little ones, check out Toddler & Me (age 2+)—it’s designed for younger kids with a parent/guardian participating. Ask Bit what dates are available and he’ll point you to the right option (or book it for you).
Yes, helmets are required. Yes, they must be real riding helmets.
Yes—helmets are required for all riders. We provide properly fitted, ASTM/SEI-certified equestrian helmets for every rider— not limited by availability. (Not bike helmets. Not ski helmets. Real horseback riding helmets.)
Absolutely—and it’s preferred if you have one. It must be a proper equestrian helmet that is ASTM/SEI-certified and fits correctly. Bike helmets are not allowed for riding.
We ride in winter conditions when it’s safe. If conditions aren’t safe (ice, severe weather), we’ll contact you with rescheduling options.
Romance, but with fresh air and hooves.
No. We’ll match the horses and instructions to your comfort level so you can enjoy the ride together.
Yes—photos are encouraged. Follow staff guidance around horses and keep phones secured while mounted.
Trail Windows are the ride start-time blocks we open for booking, so you can pick a time that fits your day. We’ll add additional trail windows as availability allows.
Kids have a blast. You get your night back. 🏆
This is a supervised drop-off event. Check-in and pick-up procedures will be included in your confirmation.
A structured night of themed games, activities, and farm fun. Weather-dependent animal moments may be included.
Parents who want an easy win: your kids have an awesome night, and you get a real evening out—date night, errands, or sitting quietly in your car like a legend.
The Valentine’s gift that gives your child something to look forward to all spring.
Three big wins in one bundle: (1) One week of Spring Camp (April 6–10, 2026), (2) one 1-hour horseback riding session usable anytime (never expires), and (3) VIP tent access at the Memorial Day Family Camp Kickoff (Monday, May 25).
Nope—your ride can be scheduled later (March is perfect for a “back in the saddle” moment).
The VIP tent is a dedicated space for your family during the Memorial Day Family Camp Kickoff—available only through select packages and special offers.
Need a human? We’ve got you.
